King ‘Abdul ‘Azeez makes a clarification of the term “Wahhabism”

King ‘Abdul ‘Azeez (رحمه الله) said:

“They have labeled us with the term ‘Wahhabiyoon’, and they have named our madhhab as ‘Wahhabi’ considering it as a specific madhhab, and this is a wicked mistake, appearing from the false propaganda which has been spread by the people of gossip. We are not the people of a new madhhab or new ‘aqeedah. Our ‘aqeedah is the ‘aqeedah of the rightly guided predecessors, we respect the four Imaams and we make no distinction between Maalik, ash-Shaafi’ee, Ahmad, and Abu Haneefah, all of them are deeply respected in our view. This ‘aqeedah is the one, that was re-established by Shaykhul Islaam, Muhammad bin ‘Abdul Wahaab (رحمه الله), and the one that he called towards. This is our ‘aqeedah and it is the structured ‘aqeedah upon the tawheed of Allaah (سبحانه وتعالى), free from defect, far removed from any innovation.”

Your Discipline in The Prayers is Your Discipline in Your Lifestyle

Praise be to Allaah, we praise Him and seek His help, and we seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own selves and from our evil deeds. Whomever Allaah guides, no one can mislead, and whomever Allaah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god except Allaah alone, with no partner or associate, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Allaah Almighty Says:
"And the Prayer is a difficult matter except upon those who fear Allaah; who are certain that they will meet their Lord, and that they will return to Him."[Quran 2:45-46]

The uniqueness of the Prayer lies in the fact that it is repeated not once a year or a month nor a day, but indeed five times a day. It is the most remarkable distinction of a believer's life. However, because of this continuous and demanding nature of the Prayer, it may be a cause of difficultly for some who lack its understanding and piety, or those who are new to it.

Abu 'Amr ash-Shaybani said, "The owner of this house (and he pointed at the house of 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud) said, "I asked the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
Which action Allah loves best. He replied, 'Prayer (exactly) at its proper time.' 'Then what?' I asked. He said, 'Then kindness to parents." I asked, 'Then what?' He replied, 'Then jihad in the Way of Allah.'"  Shaheeh   narrated by Al-Bukhari no. 5970 )

If approached with sincerity and patience, the Prayer can become the greatest pleasure of our daily life:   " QURRATUL A'YUUN - the coolness of eyes" as a Hadeeth put it.
The Coolness of My Eyes Lies in Shalah” ( Shaheeh   narrated by Ahmad no. 12293, An-Nasa-I no. 3939, Graded Shahih by Syaikh Al-Albani see Shaheeh Jami’ush Shoghir no. 3124 and also Silsilah Ahaadits Ashahihah no. 1809)

Here are  "TEN THINGS"   that can make the Prayer easy and pleasurable.

1. Know its worth
If one does not know the merits and necessity of the Prayer, the immense bounties that come with it, and the unspeakable spiritual pleasure and bliss of the company of Allaah Almighty that is the reward of an attentive Prayer, one is likely to be tired of it.
The Prayer separates the believer from the disbeliever. The Prophet Shallallahu'alaihi wassalam said in an authentic Hadeeth,
Between a person and disbelief and polytheism is the abandoning of the prayer”  (Hadeeth Shaheeh   – narrated by Muslim no. 82 (134)).

On that terrifying Day of Reckoning, the first thing a servant will be asked about is the Prayer: if s/he is successful in it, the rest is easy: If not, the rest is ruined as well. This is based on authentic Hadeeth:
"The first matter that the Muslim servant will be questioned about on the Day of Judgment is the obligatory prayers, whether he had performed them properly or not. If not, then it will be said "Look if he has performed any voluntary prayers." If he has, then the deficits in his obligatory prayers will be filled by the voluntary ones and the same will be done with the other obligatory acts." ( Shaheeh   Sunan Ibn Maajah no. 1425 and graded Shaheeh by al-Albaanee in Shaheeh wa Da'eef Sunan Ibn Maajah no. 1425 and in Shaheeh Jamiius Shagheer no. 2020. The Hadeeth also has many Shawaahid (witnesses) from other reports.

2. Delaying the pleasure is the way to success
Any worth-mentioning achievement in this world, whether it is excellence at work or at school, all-nighters in colleges or some other task, all require a degree of self-control and curbing of immediate desires. In fact, experts discover that, in general, the wisest of people even in worldly transaction is one who can curb his desires and delay the pleasure. Such a person is a successful businessman, a productive scientist and an outstanding student. What, then, about the real test of this life, the reward for which is nothing less then the Paradise of your Lord?

The Prayer requires this attitude of patience, curbing of desires and delaying of pleasures. However, as one does it regularly, it also trains the worshipper to curb desires and delay the pleasure in all other aspects of life, thus making him or her a successful person in all aspects of life, worldly or religious.
"Paradise is surrounded with things that are not pleasant to the soul and Hell is surrounded with things that are pleasant to the soul.”   (Hadeeth Shaheeh   – Narrated by Muslim no. 2822 from Anas Bin Malik radhiallahu’anhu).
Hellfire is surrounded by tempting things and sin appears attractive to us. On the other hand, Jannat is surrounded by difficult things such as sharing wealth, exercising self control and sacrifice.

3. Fight laziness and procrastination
Performing the Prayer in time is a trial. Indeed, the Hellfire is surrounded by whims and desires, whereas Paradise is surrounded by adversity. Everyone faces this difficulty proportional to the level of his or her faith. The weaker the faith, the higher the difficulty. Accordingly, the Prayer is hardest on the hypocrites.
Be determined to fight the laziness. As you win these fights, your faith increases and performing the Prayer becomes easier. Allaah Almighty Says in a Sacred Hadeeth:
"“if he draws near to Me a handspan, I draw near to him an arm’s length; if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length; if he comes to Me walking, I come to him with a quick pace (in a manner befitting His Majesty)”  (Hadeeth Shaheeh   – Narrated by Al-Bukhari no. 7536) ”

4. Do not wait for the last minute
Rather, hasten to Prayer in the first hour, and it will become easier on you. The Prophet warned against delaying the Prayer and indicated that this is the sign of a hypocrite. Gradually, it becomes a habit to perform the Prayer well and it hurts to not do it right. If you know that the Dzuhur prayer is 12.45 – iqamah, you should come early (like at 12.25 - you should stop your activities and lets prepare for the prayer – wudhu’ ablution, etc) as you can do the sunnah prayer or to read at least 5 ayah of Quran or more.

5. Worship is nourishment for the soul
Ibn-ul-Qayyim mentioned that Ibn Taymiyyah used to wait after the Fajr (Dawn) Prayer remembering Allaah until the sun had risen. He used to say, "This is my nourishment", meaning the means of his sustenance. "Should I not consume it, then I would not have the strength to last through the day." Similarly, it has been reported from a number of righteous Salaf (predecessors) that they did not use to regret missing anything from the matters of this life, like they would in missing such acts of worship.

Therefore, if you were to wonder how you could reach that same level of righteousness, your answer is: by faith and actions. Just wishing by itself is not enough and just because one is able
to reach the lower level of worship does not necessitate that one will automatically be able to reach the more advanced level. Indeed, all of this is dependent on patience and hard work. Allaah Almighty Says :
"And We appointed leaders from among them who guided (people) under Our command, when they observed patience, and kept firm belief in Our verses."  [Quran 32:24]

6. Train yourself to be enthusiastic about the Prayer
Rest assured that your enthusiasm to every matter is based upon your quickness or slowness in performing it. Thus, if you were to come to it early and quickly, you would find yourself forthcoming and spirited in performing it. However, were you to come to it lethargically, you would find it burdensome and hope that you could be free from it. If you want a suitable example, then look at the one who comes to the Prayer early. You will find him the last to leave and the opposite goes for the one who comes in late.

Similarly, in yourself you will also find the same. In the Prayer that you came early to, look at the manner in which you offered it and your disposition after it and the manner in which you made your supplications after it. On the other hand, in the Prayer that you came late to, remember how you hurried up the Prayer and hardly did that which comes later on from supplications or supererogatory prayer. This matter is not just limited to the Prayer only; rather it is for all matters and examples.

7. Love it because of Allah, and it will give you
Sow the seeds of love for the Prayer in your heart and harvest its fruits by the will of Allaah Almighty. How can that not be so when it is a link between the servant and his Lord? It is a door from the doors of Paradise and a vast river that flows past our doors cleansing us of all dirty deeds. It is expiation for sins between it and the next. Its benefits are so numerous that to mention them all would run into many volumes.

8. When hesitant, remind yourself of the Hereafter
This is because the time of hesitation is the time that Satan tries to affect you. So, if you were unwavering then you would find the Satan humiliated and disgraced. Just as when hesitating at the time of taking out money for charity and the amount of it. If you remember the Hereafter, then Satan would not be able to distract or deter you. After you had given charity, then you would never accept it back even if you were to be given millions in return. This is because it was the Hereafter that you were aiming for then. Similarly, at the point when you are standing at the door to your house about to enter and suddenly hear the call to Prayer and hesitate between entering the house or answering the call, then take a minute to wait and think. If you were to enter your house, then you would not feel anything. Rather, it would be the easy thing to do.

However, if you were to sacrifice an insignificant amount of your time and proceeded to the Mosque, then you would feel an overwhelming sense of satisfaction, insight and understanding that would demonstrate the ease of what you are doing and the mistake and loss of those who are not doing similar. So, whoever repents to Allaah then he it is that will remember and ponder, and whoever forgets then it was he who was unrepentant.

This truly is the decisive factor. One can be punctual in offering the Prayer during free time and energy, such as the Dhuhr (noon) Prayer during holidays. However, is this also the case when work piles up and the requirements increase or at times of lethargy? Do you give the Prayer secondary important at such times?

9. Establish it by answering its call
It is important to know that the command to Prayer has never come in the Quran except with the word "Iqaamah" (i.e., establishment). Similarly, it is known when someone can be said to have truly established an action. To establish an action is to carry it out to the highest level of performance. Thus, whoever does not establish it, it is not surprising that he does not truly like it, nor finds himself turning to it. This ultimately leads to his Prayer being deficient.

One of the greatest means to establishing the Prayer is to have the presence of the heart, to understand meanings of the words that are recited and of the actions that are done. Ibnul-Qayyim says, "If you see a person in Prayer perfecting his bowings and prostrations, then he has performed the Prayer correctly in its outer aspects. As for the inner aspect, then Allaah knows best about it." Ibnul-Qayyim said this about the one who offers his Prayer correctly outwardly. So, what can we say about the one who is deficient even in his outward performance of the Prayer? When saying: "Alhamdulillah" in your Prayer, be sure to make your heart ponder about its meaning. Do the same while you say "Subhaana Rabiyyal-adheem", "Subhaana Rabiyyal-A'laa", "Ashadu an-laa Ilaaha Ilallaah", while bending your back, bowing to Allaah and putting your forehead on the earth in prostrating to Him. If you were to loose concentration throughout the Prayer, then try your best even if it comes at the last minute in the fourth Rak'ah. Truly, the best of supplications is that which is done by the heart as well as the tongue.

10. Supplication is the surest way to Allaah's Pleasure
In addition, we know that Allaah does not disappoint the one who calls upon Him. Knowing this, then what do you think about someone who supplicates and asks for help and aid in performing that which Allaah loves and is pleased with? Allaah Almighty Said in a Sacred Hadeeth, "O my slaves, all of you are astray except whom I have guided; so ask me for guidance and I will guide you.”
Therefore, we must make a part of our supplications for the Hereafter. Have you not seen how the Khalilullah, Ibraaheem say,
"O my Lord and Sustainer! Make me and my progeny from those who establish the Prayer! O our Lord! Accept my plea!”  (Quran: 14:40)
By Allaah, how many times have we said this? Or, do we think that the matter will be established even though we have not asked the One and only to make us from those who establish it? Never will this be the case.

If we were to call upon Allaah Almighty and He knew us to be truthful in our request, He will never deny us. So, call on Allaah, and be certain of His answer.
Through The Prayers we can achieve the discipline for our habit.
"The regulation of a man's conduct within one system of life is one of the most important reasons of success and stability. The absence of this regulation is one of the greatest crises a man suffers from in his life. This happens when man is left without guidance from Allaah, The Most High, or without proper upbringing based on the Divine Guidance. Under these circumstances, man's life becomes miserable on this earth and he will be amongst the losers in the Hereafter".

It is only from the infinite wisdom and mercy of Allaah that we have been given a system of belief that instructs and assists in guiding our actions and behavior. By participating in the daily obligations of our faith outlined in the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad we are more likely to enjoy Allaah's bounty in this life, and reap the rewards in the Hereafter. Allaah Almighty ordered all believers to be disciplined in their worship, and not to disobey Him. In the Quran, Allaah Says:
"So, stand firm (on faith) as you have been commanded, as well as those who having repented (from disbelief) have joined you, and do not cross the limits. Surely, He is watchful of what you do."   [Quran 11: 112]

The intensity of our faith changes throughout our lives. There are times when we are of strong faith, and times when we struggle. Many brothers and sisters who proudly claim Islam as their religion unintentionally find themselves "slipping" in their religious duties. Seemingly overnight their lives go from pleasurable and carefree to darkness and confusion. You may begin to acknowledge that you have landed in such a state because of the choices you made, but you are lost as to how to go about changing things.

Being steadfast in our duties to Allaah Almighty is what keeps you from languishing during your darker moments. Remember that your ultimate return is to Him Almighty, so you must develop discipline and a consistency in your daily routine to keep your faith from sinking.

Developing discipline
Recognizing your shortcomings is the first step towards becoming more disciplined. Allaah Almighty Says:
Indeed, Allaah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves..."  [Quran 13: 11]
When you decide to change for the sake of Allaah Almighty, Allaah will help you change.
When you decide to change for the sake of Allaah Almighty, Allaah will help you change. And you may start with the simple thing and do it continuously, your continuity on performing acts of obedience (even if they are small) is the key of success on the Day of the Great Demonstration.
Hadeeth Shaheeh:
Narrated Aishah (radiallahu anha): “The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was asked, “What deeds are loved most by Allah?” He said, “The most regular constant deeds even though they may be small.” He added, ‘Don’t take upon yourselves, except the deeds which are within your ability.”   [ Shaheeh   Narrated by Al-Bukhori no. 6465].

Each one is responsible for oneself and will be questioned accordingly on the Day of Judgment, with no one to intercede on your behalf. You must make the choice to live your life according to Allaah's Will on your own. You will not benefit from being told about what you need to do and how you need to change in order to have a more fulfilling life. You must take an interest in making those changes for yourself. Only then can you reap the rewards. Think about the wives of the Prophets Noah and Loot, may Allaah exalt their mention. Each Prophet tried unsuccessfully to offer the best guidance to his wife, but because there was no real interest on their part, it was said to each of women.
"…Enter the Fire with those who enter!"  [Quran 66: 10]

There are many things you can do to establish discipline in your daily life. Such consistency not only balances our faith, but all other aspects of our lives as well:

Evaluate yourself regularly to make certain you are doing all that you can spiritually.
Perform your daily prayers punctually each day.
Read the Quran regularly, (even only one page) with an effort to truly understand what you are reading.
Seek knowledge regularly, religious and other, through books, CDs/tapes, classes and lectures.
Keep company with righteous people.
Have confidence in your faith and, more importantly, in Allaah Almighty.
Regularly spend some time alone in contemplation and worship (like tahajjud).

Islam is a complete way of life. As believers, we should desire the discipline that allows us to regulate our lives and keep chaos away. In choosing this way of life, peace and contentment are your right. Discipline comes as a result of performing certain duties consistently. Ask Allaah to help you to establish discipline in your religious commitment and to be able to submit to all that pleases Him Almighty.
Wallaahu a’lam bishshawwaab.

Perbezaan Wali-Wali ALLAH & Wali-Wali Syaitan

Ibnu Taimiyyah

Perbezaan Yang Terkumpul Antara Wali-Wali Allah Subhanawata’alah Dan Wali-Wali Syaitan

Empat Golongan Penyebab Hilangnya Islam

Al-Imaam Ibnul Qayyim rahimullah berkata:

4.. Orang yang menghalangi manusia untuk belajar ilmu.

Aku (Ibnul Qayyim) berkata :

Golongan Kedua :  Adalah ahli ibadah namun bodoh (jahil) .

Who is ALLAH?

To get to know Allah.

Who is Allah? If you were asked: Who is your Lord?
Then answer: My Lord is Allah, the Essence which guides me and guides the whole universe with His Bounty. He is my deity, and I have no Lord but Him. The argument is in accordance with the words of Allah The Exalted, which means, “Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the universe.” (Surah Al-Fatihah: 2)
Everything except Allah is the universe, and I am one of that universe.
If you were asked: How do you get to recognize your Lord?
Then reply: By his ayah/signs (His Creatures which move) and his Creatures which do not move. Among His signs is the existence of the day, the night, the sun, and the moon. Some of His creation is the seven skies, the 7-layer earth and everything in it, and everything between it.
The argument is based on the words of Allah The Exalted, which means, “And from among His signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate yourselves not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate yourselves to Allâh Who created them, if you (really) worship Him.” (Surah Al-Fussilat: 37)
Allah also says, which means, “Indeed your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and then He rose over (Istawa) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty). He brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly, and (He created) the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command. Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin(mankind, jinn and all that exists)!” (Surah: Al-A’raf: 54)
Ar-Rabb is Al-Ma’bud (Something that has a right to be worshipped). The argument is based on the saying of Allah The Exalted, which means, “O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allah), Who created you and those who were before you so that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious). Who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped).” (Surah: Al-Baqarah: 21-22)
Ibn Kathir rahimahullah said, “Those who have right to be worshipped is the Creator of this universe.”

Types of Worship

Various types of worship that Allah has ordained are as follows: islam, faith (iman), and ihsan (perfection). Some Allah’s commands are to pray, khauf (fear), raja’ (hope), tawakal, raghbah (pleading), rahbah (fear), khusyu, khasy-yah (fear), inabah (repentance accompanied by good deeds), isti’anah (request help), isti’adhah (begging protection), istighathah (request for help), slaughter, nadhar (vow), and any other types of worship that Allah has ordained. All of them belong to Allah The Exalted.
The argument is based on the saying of Allah the Exalted, which means, “Verily, the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah.” (Surah Al-Jinn: 18)
Whoever gives one type of worships toward others besides Allah then they are treated as non-believers. The argument is based on the word of Allah, which means, “And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other Lords of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely!the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah will not be successful.” (Surah Al-Mukminun: 117)
In one hadith it is said, “Prayer is the marrow of worship.”
The argument is the word of Allah The Exaltedm which means, “And your Lord said, ‘Invoke Me, (i.e. believe in My Oneness and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship (i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness [Islamic Monotheism]) they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!” (Surah Ghafir: 60)
The argument that says khauf is one type of worship of is mentioned in the word of Allah, which means, “So fear them not, but fear Me, if you are (true) believers.” (Surah Al-Imran: 175)
And the argument that raja’ is considered as one type of worship is the word of Allah, which means, “Whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.” (Surah Al-Kahfi: 110)
The argument that tawakal (put trust in Allah) is one type of worship is the word of Allah, which means, “And put your trust in Allah if you are believers indeed.” (Surah Al-Maidah: 23)
Also the word of Allah, “Whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him.” (Surah At-Talaq: 3)
The argument that says raghbah, rahbah, and khushu’ (being humble) are included as kinds of worship as being mentioned in the word of Allah, which means, “They used to hasten on to do good deeds, and they used to call on Us with hope and fear, and used to humble themselves before Us.” (Surah Al-Anbiya’: 90)
The argument that khashyah is one of the worship is based on the word of Allah, which means, “So fear them not, but fear Me!” (Surah Al-Baqarah: 150)
The argument that says inabah is included as a worship is the word of Allah, which means, “Come back to your Lord and submit yourself to Him.” (Surah Az-Zumar: 54)
The argument that isti’anah is one type of worship is in the saying of Allah, which means, “You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).” (Surah Al-Fatihah: 5)
Also in the hadith it is mentioned that, “…If you are gonna ask help then ask assistance only to Allah.”
The argument that isti’adha is one kind of worship is the word of Allah, which means, “Say, ‘I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of the daybreak.’” (Surah Al-Falaq: 1)
Also the word of Allah, which means, “Say, ‘I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind.’” (Surah An-Naas: 1)
In the argument that istighathah is one way to worship is based on the saying of Allah, which means, “(Remember) when you sought help of your Lord and He answered you…” (Surah Al-Anfal: 9)
The argument that says slaughtering is one way to worship is based on the word of Allah, which means, “Say (O Muhammad)! ‘Truly, my Lord has guided me to a Straight Path, a right religion, the religion of Ibrahim, which believe in One God, and Ibrahim was not of Al-Mushrikun (those who perform shirk).’ Say (O Muhammad)! ‘Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the universe (mankind, jinn and all that exists). He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.’” (Surah Al-An’am: 161-163)
In one hadith, it is mentioned that, “Allah has cursed people who slaughter for others but Allah.”
The argument that nadhar (vow) is one way to worship is based on the word of Allah, which means, They (are those who) fulfil (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading.” (Surah Al-Insan: 7)

What is The Quran?

To get to know The Quran.
Scholars have defined The Quran as follow:
The Quran is The words of Allah, of which was sent to His Messenger, the closing prophet, which was Muhammad sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, of which is started by surah Al-Fatiha and ended by surah An-Naas.
Explanation:
The Words of Allah” means that The Quran is neither the words of human nor angels, and not even Muhammad, but it is the words of God of Creator of this Universe.
Sent to His Messenger, which is Muhammad” means there were many written Books of Allah. There were some which were revealed to Musa, Daud, and even descended to Isa. The words of Allah which were revealed to Muhammad is called The Quran.
The closing (last) prophet” means that Muhammad is one of Allah’s prophets. He is the prophet of Allah as what Ibrahim, Musa, Daud, Sulaiman or Isa are. He is the last prophet, there is no more prophet after him.
Started from Al-Fatiha and ended by An-Naas” means there is revelation from Allah that was sent to Muhammad, but it was not The Quran. Those revelations refer to the hadiths which were delivered by Muhammad, of which the content (of those revelations) become further descriptions of The Quran.

Why Should be The Quran?

As we have just reviewed, The Quran is the book of Allah of which being revealed at the very last. Prior to The Quran, God had descended a few of His books. Some of them were: Tawrah of which was revealed to prophet Musa, Zabur that was sent to Daud, and Injil which was descended to Isa. However, those books have been expired. As a replacement, Allah had sent the last prophet which was Muhammad and Allah revealed to him The Quran. This book (The Quran) will last until the end of the world. God has replaced the lessons which were included in previous books with lessons in The Quran.
All people admit that The Quran is indeed the last book. That is based on the perspective of history as well as belief. The Quran is a revision of previous books. Therefore, The Quran will always be relevant to changing times:
It is narrated from Jabir radiallahu ‘anhu, that Umar bin Khattab came to Rasulullah sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam while bringing a few quotations from Tawrah. Umar said: “O Rasulullah, this is the excerpt of Tawrah.” The Prophetsallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam remained silent and Umar read it, meanwhile the face of the Prophet sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam changed (look angrier). While Umar was looking at the Prophet’s face, he said, “I take refugee in Allah from His anger, the anger of His Messenger, and we accept that Allah is our God, islam is our religion, and Muhammad is our prophet.” Then, the Prophetsallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:
“By the One Who owns my soul on His hand (Allah), if Musa appeared among you and you followed him and left me, you would go astray from the right path. If Musa were alive and reached [the time of] my prophethood he would have followed me.” (Ad-Darimi no. 435)

Was Muhammad The Author of The Quran?

There are many islam-haters who insult Islam through allegation. Those people try to weaken Islam, but they never use scientific ways. One of the ways is to accuse The Quran as the creation of Muhammad instead of the Book of Allah. As their allegations are non-scientifically proven, those allegations can be rebutted as follow:
1. All historians have concluded that Muhammad is illiterate, he could neither read nor write. Therefore, how could it be possible for human with limited ability to write the book of which being admitted its greatness by many people.
2. God has warned him (Muhammad). If Muhammad dares to falsify the contents of The Quran. Allah has said:
“This is the Revelation sent down from the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists). And if Muhammad had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah). We surely would have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might). And then We certainly would have cut off his life artery (aorta).” (Al-Haqqah: 44–46)
3. There are several verses in The Quran which include warnings to Prophet Muhammad. If The Quran were written by Muhammad, Muhammad would have not written any verses which include warnings to corner himself. As it is common for human to avoid any insults to their ownself.
4. In a few contents of The Quran, there are several predictions towards happenings and technology development in the future. It may be specifically and further reviewed in a different chapter. Among those theories is the theory of universe of which is still unapproachable by the development of the theories at the point of time. Meanwhile, no matter how great human ability is, he will not be able to predict something that is out of his mind.
5. Arabs have amazing ability in literature. However, there has been nobody who could write any books such as The Quran. Yet, they have put efforts of many people. Therefore, it is impossible for a man like Prophet Muhammad to have an ability of which is far above the ability of all experts in Arabic literature. In addition, Muhammad has never been known as an expert in Arabic literature.

The Attributes of The Quran

Allah has attributed The Quran with many of glorious characters. This shows that Allah has glorified The Quran. Among the attributes of The Quran are:
1. The glorious and exalted Book
Allah has mentioned:
“Verily we have given you (Muhammad) seven verses which are repated (surah Al-Fatihah), and the glorious Quran.” (Al-Hijr: 87)
Allah has also mentioned:
“Indeed, that book is the glorious Quran.” (Al-Waqiah: 77)
Those show how The Quran is the book which is glorified and exalted by The Creator of this universe. He really praises The Quran and commanded His slaves to glorify and praise it.
Allah has said in the beginning of The Quran:
“This is the Book (The Quran), whereof there is no doubt.” (Al-Baqarah: 2)
This shows how great The Quran is. The conclusion which was placed in the beginning is the incredible statement: ” There is no doubt in it.” This is because all of them containassurance and truth. The truth of which will never be able to be rebutted. There has been no minor mistake in it, because this book came from the One the all-Knowing of this universe.
There is one history about someone who used to be Christian. One time, he wanted to learn The Quran. While he was opening the initial pages of The Quran, he was amazed by this verse. How dares a literature to initiate with such a strong statement of which claimed that there is no doubt in it.
3. There is no contradiction within verses.
Because The Quran was sent from Allah and He guaranteed that there will be no contradiction in it. All lessons direct to the standardized ones, of which contain truth. Allah has said:
“Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein many a contradiction.” (An-Nisa’: 82)
However, sometimes there are many peoeple who misunderstand several verses in The Quran, therefore they think that those verses contradict each other. They have not carefully reviewed it yet. Apart from that, sometimes there are verses of which the ruling was replaced by other ruling. Allah has replaced that ruling, because it is not relevant anymore at this time. This shows the harmony of The Quran with the history of human of which will never be stagnant.
4. The blessed book
One of the most outstanding attributes of The Quran is blessing. Allah has said:
“And this (The Quran) is a blessed Book which We have sent down, confirming (the revelations) which came before it, so that you may warn the Mother of Towns (i.e. Makkah) and all those around it.” (Al-An’aam: 92)
Some of the blessings of The Quran are as follow:
a. Become the source of information of truth and revelation for human beings, because The Quran is the source of direction for human beings. Allah has said:
“Month of Ramadan in which was revealed The Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs of guidance and the Criterion.”
b. A man who sticks to The Quran will be glorified by Allah, in the world and hereafter. As it is narrated from Umar bin Khatab, that one day the governor of Mecca, Nafi’ bin Abd Harits came to see Umar in ‘Asfan. Then Umar asked: “Who replaces your position in Mecca?” Nafi’ replied: “Ibn Abza, he was formerly a slave.” Then Umar was confused and said: “You pointed a former slave to lead Mecca?” Nafi’ answered: “He memorizes The Quran and he is well-versed in the heritance theories.” Then Umar said, “Previously the Prophetsallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:
“Verily Allah has raised a group of people with this book (The Quran) and Allah has lowered other groups, because of this Book as well. ” (Narrated by Muslim, no. 817)
Imam Al-Qurtubi (one of Spanish scholars) said: “It means, Allah has elevated and glorified humans in the world and the afterlife. This is because the human has given attention to The Quran. The man reads, memorizes, and applies it. On the other hand, Allah has undermine a few people in the world because they have abandoned The Quran, they never learn Quran and never apply it.
5. It Can not be Falsified
This is the specialty of The Quran. At the time it was revealed till now, there has been nobody who are able to write the false Quran and be accepted in the whole world, because Allah has given a guarantee to preserve His book, until the end of this world. Allah has said:
“Verily we revealed Ad-Dhikra (The Quran), and we guard it.” (Al-Hijr: 9)
In fact, Allah has challenged all His slaves who believe in The Quran to create a book like The Quran. Allah challenged Jinn and all human beings. They helped each other to create a match for The Quran. However, until this minute, there has been nobody who can do it. Allah has said:
“Say: If the mankind and the jinn were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another.” (Al-Isra’: 88)
History has proven that till this minute, there has been no successful effort of human beings to challenge The Quran, to create a comparable match for The Quran. In the past, the arabic literature figures tried creating one surah to challenge The Quran. There was a false prophet named Musailamah, he created one surah that was similar to The Quran, one of them are as follow:
The first, to duplicate surah Al-Fiil:
The elephant, what is the elephant? Do you know what the elephant is? It has wide ears and a long nose …”
The original text of The Quran for surah al-Fiil:
“Have you (Muhammad) not seeen how your God dealt with the owners of the Elephant? Did he not make their plot go astray (to destroy Ka’bah)? And He sent against them birds, in flocks,…”
The second, to imitate al-Kauthar
“Verily we have given you jamahir (followers). Therefore, perform prayer for your God and make it louder. And, do not follow (oblige) any witch…”
The original text of The Quran for al-Kauthar:
“Verily, We have granted you Al-Kauthar (a river in Paradise). Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only). For he who hates you, he will be cut off (from posterity and every good thing in this world and in the Hereafter).” (Al-Kauthar)
While Musailah, the false prophet was reading the above verses (the imitation), all of a sudden, all people who saw and heard Musailamah the false prophet, laughed immediately. They thought that it was funny, and not The Quran. There was no one who believed The Quran that he brought, except his wife. Again, their efforts (Musailamah and his wife) failed to gain acceptance.
After that, there were some groups appeared. There were many people who tried writing the false Quran. However, their efforts were a failure, yet the false Quran of their version did not get any acceptance. Not long ago, Dr. Anis Shorrosh, the the American evangelist pastor, who claimed to be born in Nazareth, tried writing several new surahs and claimed them as The Quran. As a result, many people insulted and humiliated him.
He gathered the book in 77 surahs with a classic Arabic text of which the translation is in English. The book was offered with a price of $19.95, and it could be ordered from internet.
The complete version of Shorrosh’ creation was once published in the SuraLikeIt website via American OnLine (AOL). However, because it created commotion and invited several critiques from US muslim groups, AOL then decided to ban the site. However, efforts to misdirect people keeps being diverted to the Islam in Focus site which has a vision of Truth in Crisis International.
This is the proof that The Quran is not the common book, nor the creation of human beings, but the book was sent from Allah the One the Exalted and the Most Glorious. Whatever efforts that human have will not be able to succeed forever.

How About Tawrah and Injil (Bible)?

This matter is different with tawrah and injil. Allah gave guarantee of preservation to the two Books. However, Allah gave them up to the priests to guard them. Allah has said:
“Verily, We did send down the Tawrah, therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allah’s Will, judged for the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests, for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah’s Book, and they were witnesses to.” (Al-Maidah: 44)
However, human beings do have limitation. Those priests were not able to guard the Book as Allah had commanded. Therefore, there were many people who have changed, either decrease or added on to them (tawrah and injil). In consequences, everyone has consessed that the current tawrah and injil contain any doubts in term of their authenticity. One proof which shows the issue was the review about the Old and New Testament, page 67-94 which sounds more or less:
1. Injil Yahya was not included in Injil Sipotik, because the content and the history are totally diferent. Based on the belied of Christians, Injil Yahya was written by Yahya, the most beloved student of Jesus. (Yahya 13:23 and 21:20). Therefore, the Christians’ belief is the writer of Injil Yahya is Yahya bin Zabdi the brother of Yakub bin Zabdi (one of the twelfth students).
2. According to the more trustworthy historians, Yahya bin Zabdi had been killed by the King Herodes Agerippa I in the year of 44 or 66 M. Nevertheless, Injil Yahya was only written in around 100 M. Thus, there is a big possibilities that Injil was written by Yahya Prebester the priest in the Friday court in small Asia who lived in the first Century of Masehi. He wrote the Injil to go against the lessons of Corentus and Irenius. This was supported by the Encyclopedia, especially Encyclopedia Britanica which based its explanation over Papias Uskup Hieropolic. It is also applicable to the explanation by Dr. J. H. Bavink in the book of : “De Weg Van Gods Koninkrijk.” Back to the matter of Matheus, when Jesus was five years old. He wrote Injil in the year of 88 M, 55 Years before the death of Jesus. 55 years are considered a very long time for someone to memorize all happenings, especially the statement of people. From where that he knew the conversations between the shephers of Efrata with the Angels? Was he not present at the field of Efrata? Then how could he know the conversation between Maryam (Mary) and Gabriel? Was it from mouth to mouth?” (source: http://media.isnet.org)

Within The Quran and The Previous Books

1. To admit all the prophets of Allah
In The Quran, Allah has explained so that we believe in all the prophets that have been sent to this world, since prophet Adam till prophet Muhammadsalallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. Because all of them are pious people whom need to be respected and glorified. Allah has said:
“The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say): We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers.” (Al-Baqarah: 285)
Therefore, in The Quran, Allah mentioned their stories. Stories about Adam, Ibrahim, Hud, Lut, Ya’qub, Yusuf, Musa, Dawud, Sulaiman, Isa, and any other prophets. However, all the lessons from the previous prophets are not applicable anymore since the presence of the last prophet, which is Prophet Muhammad sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. As was being delivered by Prophet Isa to his congregation, that after his departure, there would be the prophet which was sent as the last one. Allah has mentioned about the statement of Prophet Isa:
And (remember) when Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: “O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you, confirming the Tawrah which came before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad. (Muhammad). But when the Messenger came to them with clear proofs, they said: “This is plain magic.” (As-Shaf: 6)
Prophet Isa explained to his ummah, Children of Israel, to expect the presence of the last prophet, which is Muhammad. Hence, anyone who believes Muhammad, essentially has followed ‘Isa’s suggestion. Vice versa, if there is someone who is not willing to oblige to Muhammad, or even fight him, then he has abandones Isa’s instruction.
In other verse, Allah has said that all prophets have pledged to defend the last prophet which is Muhammad. Allah has said:
And (remember) when Allah took the Covenant of the Prophets, saying: “Take whatever I gave you from the Book and Hikmah (understanding of the Laws of Allah), and afterwards there will come to you a Messenger confirming what is with you; you must, then, believe in him and help him.” Allah said: “Do you agree (to it) and will you take up My Covenant (which I conclude with you)?” They said: “We agree.” He said: “Then bear witness; and I am with you among the witnesses (for this).” (Al-Imran: 81)
Allah has also explained about the presence of the last prophet of which was mentioned in tawrah and injil. Allah has said:
“Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (whom they find written with them in the Tawrah and the Injil, he commands them for Al-Ma’ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Tayyibat (i.e. all good and lawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods), and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khaba’ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons and foods), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allah’s Covenant with the children of Israel), and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light (the Quran) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful.” (Al-A’raf: 157)
2. To admit that tawrah is the revelation of Allah
Other than telling about the prophets before prophet Muhammad, The Quran also admitted the authenticity and accuracy of the previous books. Allah has praised those books in The Quran, as Allah has said:
“And in their footsteps, We sent Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), confirming the tawrah that had come before him, and We gave him the injil, in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the tawrah that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for Al-Muttaqun.” (Al-Maidah: 46)
However, those books which were descended before The Quran were no longer available after Allah had sent The Quran. This is because the revelation of The Quran means all sharia are suited to The Quran. Allah has mentioned:
“And We have sent down to you the Book (this Quran) in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it and Muhaymin (trustworthy in highness and a witness) over it (old Scriptures). So judge among them by what Allâh has revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging away from the truth that has come to you. To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way. If Allâh had willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so compete in good deeds. The return of you (all) is to Allâh; then He will inform you about that in which you used to differ.” (Al-Maidah: 48)
This is where The Quran is being set as the standard of the truth. The Quran admits that tawrah and injil are the revelation from Allah which were sent down to Musa and Isa ‘alayhimas salam (Jesus), but since the revelation of The Quran, the rulings in tawrah and injil are no longer applicable. In addition, there have been so much changes in tawrah and injil, those are either elimination of their content or even augmentation of them.

The Main Lesson of The Quran

The main lesson of The quran is to persuade human beings to believe in Allah as the only God and to devote themselves and to worship. Allah has commanded through The Quran to leave all kinds of paganism and to turn into devotion towards one God. This is because paganism is one of ignorance behaviours. Allah has said in The Quran,
“And I (Allah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone).” (Az-Zariyat: 56)
This is the basic of all the lessons of prophets and Messenger of Allah which were sent down to this world. Allah has said:
“And verily, We have sent among every ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah).” Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth).” (An-Nahl: 36)
Those are aligned as being taught by Musa and Harun. Allah has mentioned their preach:
And We brought the Children of Israel (with safety) across the sea, and they came upon a people devoted to some of their idols (in worship). They said: “O Musa (Moses)! Make for us an ilah (a god) as they have alihah (gods).” He said: “Verily, you are a people who know not (the Majesty and Greatness of Allah and what is obligatory upon you, i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone, the One and the Only God of all that exists).”[Musa added:] “Verily, these people will be destroyed for that which they are engaged in (idols-worship). And all that they are doing is in vain.” He said: “Shall I seek for you an Ilah (a god) other than Allah, while He has given you superiority over the ‘Alamin (mankind and jinn of your time).” (Al-A’raf: 138-140)
Musa was angry towards Bani Israel (the descendants of Israel), because they turned calves as deities to Allah. They wanted a God in sculpture form, as they saw people worshipping figures. Musa said their request as a foolish one. Then Musa told them that there is only one God which is Allah, and no other Gods have rights to be worshipped except Allah.
The same thing occured to Isa bin Maryam. He taught his ummah to worship Allah and not to think of him (Isa) as the son of Allah. Allah has mentioned:
And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): “O Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: ‘Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allâh?’ ” He will say: “Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self though I do not know what is in Yours; truly, You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is hidden (and unseen).
Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allah) did command me to say: ‘Worship Allâh, my Lord and your Lord.’ And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them; and You are a Witness to all things. (This is a great admonition and warning to the Christians of the whole world). (Al-Maidah: 116-117)
Let’s us take a look deeper. Allah has confirmed that prophet Isa never taught himself as the son of God. Isa even rebutted those behaviours who made himself as the God’s incarnation. Isa delivered the tawheed and devotion to only Allah. Unfortunately, many people are not aware of this matter.
Allah has criticised them:
And the Jews say: ‘Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. Allah’s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth! They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allah), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the tawrahand the injil to worship none but One Ilah (God – Allah) La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Praise and glory be to Him (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).” (At-Tawbah: 30-31)
Take a look at Isa statement who was disturbed by devil (iblis), inside the bible it was mentioned:
“And Devil brought it to the top of mountain that is very high and show Him the kingdom of the world with its glamourosity, and told Him: ‘All those things will be given to You, if you kneel down on me.’ Then Yesus told him: ‘Go away Devil! Because it is written that you have to worship God, your Allah, and only Him alone that you devote yourself.’” (matius 4:8-10)
In fact, Jesus in injil also taught tawheed, we were told not to associate our God with other deities, and all of our worship need to be devoted to Allah. It is strange, how come there are still many people who are deceived and turned a few Allah’s prophets as the sons of God, while it is impossible for God to have children.
